wheel spacers
I like the idea of fitting some spacers, to widen the track and give a more purposful stance, whilst retaining OEM wheels. So far so good...
Tegiwa supply some decent spacers with built in studs, and the OEM 17s have little relief pockets which will swallow up the original protruding stud.
My problem is this - I've also got a set or ropey old 16's, shod in winter thyres, which have proved pretty useful in recent weeks. These however don't have the relief pockets, so if I fit spacers, I'll either have to sack off the old winters OR remove the spacers once a year/every couple of years when the weather demands.
So I guess my question is this - is there anything I should be concerned about, treating the spacer like a removable item along with the wheels, rather than fitting (maybe Loctite-ing) and forgetting.
I know it will have an affect on the geo, but for those few ploddy winter weeks, I'm not worried about not having optomised geometry.

Its not going to change camber, caster or toe

Crack on ..... shouldn’t have any issues as long as they are torqued up correct

I am also interested in spacers for exactly the same reason, my question would be.. What size spacer can we safely run on OEM wheels front/rear without having issues with the fenders?
Many thanks to someone who is more knowledgable than me..

Thanks alot for that Mike RT4!
Have you ever experienced any rubbing on the liners or fenders with this setup?
I'm on the OEM V2 wheels with Tein Springs, roughly the same ride height I would have thought.
Thanks!

Only on big compressions, where the rears touch the tabs. However, on track - never .
