You mean like this. Sounds like PRM. Fits like PRM. Is part PRM and cost about the same as what Ron is suggesting.

Or go and spend £300 on some plastic pipe and a metal elbow with a cheap gauze filter and a brand name if it makes you feel better :)

That looks amazing actually. Whats the noise level like?

It's as loud as the PRM under full load and combined with an Invidia Q300 exhaust - it makes me smile every time i drive it. I always found the K&N to be a little gruff and lacked the PRM scream at higher RPM. I did have an AEM V1 but sold it on as I didn't care for the idea of an intake so low to the ground.

Far as i'm concerned, if you're just fitting an exhaust / intake and doing nothing else - it's solely for how you want it to sound and different ears like different things.

Unclefester, is there a guide somewhere on the forum showing how to fit that? and is the car more susceptible to the rain with the filter exposed? cheers

You really don't need a guide.

It's a PRM intake elbow, 2 silcon reducers and a 300mm piece of alloy induction pipework with a filter on the end. All i did was buy the filter with the appropriate neck size for the larger diameter pipe i used in place of the dead bit of PRM that used to sit there.

Because i have bonnet lifters, i was able to remove the standard bonnet rest and the filter nestles nicely under that up against the hole in the inner wing.

I haven't noticed any difference in wet weather.

Gah, I have the bonnet rest and the bits to do this mod are already on order. I will need to improvise it seems.
