Default Where to you drop from

Just curious to know from what height you all drop your bonnets from to get them to shut properly?

I either have to go from very high up with a bit of 'oooomphhhh' (technical term) or from about a foot high, again with 'oooomphhhh'.

Lol, I let it latch then press with my palm, no slamming involved. You can adjust the rubber stopper things that the bonnet rests on - they screw in and out on a coarse thread

Ever since I got my carbon radiator cover I let it latch and then push it shut, I wouldn't drop it anymore for fear of finding the carbon in a million pieces next time I open the bonnet!

Can't believe there's a thread on how You shut your bonnet.

Personally I gently push down.

Haha! I was originally going to title this thread "How do you drop 'em?"

Now you'll become obsessed about fine tuning your bonnet shut lines - it's a slippery slope
