Who to register my European import with?
It's about time I registered my euro import car with Honda for warranty purposes etc.
Can anybody tell me if I register it through a dealer, or whether I go direct to Honda UK.. also what information they will need?
TIA
Pete

I believe you just go to your local friendly Honda dealer with your certificate of approval (and probably reg document?).
You say "about time"? I understood that if you didn't do it within 7 days of taking delivery of the car it was too late.

This is what Honda UK post on the web to help:
Honda UK FAQs
Aren't they just soooo helpful
They used to have a much more detailed set of instructions last time I looked, you don't think they are deliberately making things harder for those importing do you....

Hi Dinsdale,
OK, you will need to go to your local dealer to register the car with Honda Uk and get your (UK based) 3 yr. / 60000 mile (not 90000 given for UK purchased cars) warranty.
Earlier this year Honda UK placed this responsibility on the dealers (just to rub salt into their wounds I suspect) - you will need, as I recall, the original bill of sale / invoice, service book (note - remarkably, if you contact Honda UK they will send you a UK / English service book thro' the post, no questions asked!!) certificate of conformity (I think) and the registration document. (I would give the dealership a bell and check out the list of paperwork they will need to see).
Hope this helps
