Default Who's got the most miles up?

Just wondering. Saw JC (on some old TG clip) commenting that Honda have made >15,000,000 VTEC systems NONE of which have gone wrong. Now I don't know whether that assertion is ABSOLUTELY correct, but it got me to thinking..... I wonder who here has got (or knows of) the S2000s with the highest mileages up and what's gone wrong with 'em during that time??

Anyone??

Cheers,

Mike

Take the quote literally!
No one has seen a failure of the twin cam switch over system
Plenty of dropped valves or bottom ends though
I'm sure PJL and AE will be along to tell us their mileage.
IIRC Modifry in the US has 170K miles on his and ony just changed his engine after more than 100k miles of supercharging

oooohhhh I am nearly up to Modifry then??

166k at the moment.

2nd engine. 1st blew.

It's not the VTEC that breaks - mine threw a rod - so technically JC is probably correct.

LOSER!!
Have to use public transport M-F

So that only leaves the weekend !

Did over 200 miles of topless driving over the Bank Holiday weekend - the vast majority on A roads

Hi
126k in 7 Years - I'm humbled by Ian's Big Miles

Part of being a member of the 100k Club is knowing that sooner or later you will be looking for another Engine (especialy if it flogged every day / Tracked etc)

Cheers
Peter
