Default Wierd Noise?

OK 1st i will say hi newbie to Hondas and the S2K
The noise we heard tonight was like 2 second whine repaeting every10-15 seconds
I got under the car traced to the middle under the tank i could feel the vibration in the fule lines as the noise appeared.
After some head scratching undid the fule filler cap to release pressure and the noise has gone??

Any ideas what the whine was?? a valve or something
Cheers in advance if you have an answer Liam

So is this within normal operating perameters the pump whines after you turn off and get out.
Or should i be considering replacement parts and make the most of me extended cover lol

Off topic because i am new the the S2K i dynoed it a couple of weeks ago and was a little disapointed with the outcome.
Just over 200BHP nothing bad to report whilst on the rollers and drives OK but it it down on power??
Was Hondas claim a little ott or is there some thing i should be looking into??

Thanks again for any help if too far off topic i will start a new thread lol

Mine does it all the time, so I wouldn't worry about replacing anything just yet

Depends where you measure it. It loses some through the transmission, so 200 at the wheels is about right.

237 with 16.5% trans is 200bhp. engine bhp is always a 'guess' as they normally multiply the output using their 'guestimate' of the trans losses.

To me, dyno's are pointless unless you are tuning an engine and/or comparing different set-ups etc.

The headline figures that people are after are too subjective unless they run them straight off the engine. ATW is actually more important as that's what you really have going through the wheels, however the numbers aren't so good for pub talk. This results in many dyno places telling the customer what they want to hear, they just up the trans loss figures

Also, no two dynos are the same so one may give you 200bhp, another 190, another 210 etc. Also there are other factors in play, ambient temps, what sort(+ quality) of fans blowing air in etc.

Ok so the pump is Ok

The dyno figures are BHP flywheel
The wheel HP was 160 ish so give or take a bit the car is well below 240 Claimed.
Confused as it drives well just been serviced 45K but is 40 BHP down??????
Totaly standard car i would like to understand why it is down!

Cheers Liam
