an interesting read... are cars actually changing hands at this money though?

I guess so, which is a surprise.

the 2004 at 20k (whatever the mileage) is somewhat optimistic though

I sold mine 3 years ago for a shade over 15k... no GT100's for sale at the moment. I am dreading when one comes on the market for 25k.

Mines worth 3-4k over what I paid for it 3 years ago, according to the current market. It's pretty much paying for its own running costs and maintenance. Essentially I own and drive an S2000 for free. Amazing!

Going off that article, it seems mine has appreciated about £1200 going off that article and I've put 27k miles on it!

Welcome to the world of hidden inflation!

Though as more cars get crashed/Barried, the few remaining super examples will become more collectible.

This GT100 has been around a week or so on eBay @ £18,995 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-S200...-/121799662542

I did find an article I tore out of a paper in the dentist a while back (within the last three years) - it seems to call the "buy at £8K and sell at £15 in 5 years" trend in the market we are having right now.

Its not just the S2000, my 911 has risen in price, can only be finite though, I'm sure the bubble will burst.

One of the reasons I bought Jaffa, two others were the colour rarity and it being in the cheaper tax band
