Lotus Elise, i was after a low sided seat with me being old and lame was looking at Tillet b5 very expensive or low-pro a lot of money if i couldn't get it to fit, then came across this which is a new seat removed at birth for a full on motorsport seat it was more within the range i was willing to pay to mess about with to see if i could get it to fit right it still may end up in the store room yet

That looks a bit too comfy for me Lee i may fall asleep between runs,
All done and seems to fit in a treat,
seat mount cobled together from a S/H seat rail cut down side mounts and a S2000 rear lower brace,
quick try out of the cage before final fettling
and quick check of the seat position and adjusting range
once i was satisfied it would all fit in i welding in the rear harness points and the roof bolt down brackets then fitted it all in for the last time (hopefully) time then shaped the interior trim to fit it all back in,
so there we have it an MX5 mk3 rear cage section tweaked to fit and an Elise seat

Nice work!
Are you sure that it's safe to run harness like that? As far as I know harness can slip over shoulders in case of accident with that install. Seats should have openings for harness. I think oem seatbelt is safer.
