Wouldn't start this morning!
Went out to the car at 7.30am this morning - it was covered in ice. Unlocked the door wth the remote, opened the door (it didn't want to open!) and started the car, and the alarm went off ! Tried pressing the disable button on the remote with the engine running but it wouldn't stop, so turned the engine off and jumped out of the car, frantically pressing the button as all the neighbours lights came on, eventually it switched off.
Got back in the car, tried to start it, it 'just' turned over once then gave up, replaced by a ticking noise.
Either the battery is knackered or it was just too cold for it.
Got me a day off work "sick" anyway.

The Honda alarm is f**king sh*t. Mine did exactly the same thing. I turned the engine off immediately and then deactivated the alarm. Then started the car up again as normal. Always happens in cold weather.

.I get this quite often when the cars been standing for a while. Usually just turn off ignition, turn off alarm and then it starts, my battery is prpbably knackered but it still just about goes

Yes I agree, was definitely the battery. Gave it till 11am though once it defrosted and it fired up first time, so took it out for a 70 mile run to get some charge back in the battery. 
Must remember to put it in the garage tonight !

Ahh this rings a bell, good old s2ki forums to the rescue again.
Yesterday as I went into my garage to head out in the S, I noticed
that I hadn't shut the drivers door properly.
I thought nothing of it, until I then went to start her - got nothing but
a click-click-clicking noise. The dash lights etc are all lit but she won't
start.
I'm guessing the interior light was left on as result of the door not
being shut.
From the sounds of this thread my battery is dead. Should I try
and charge it overnight myself, or just buy a new one and be done
with it? I take it Halfrauds is my best bet, or do I need to go OEM?
