WRITE OFF!

Sadly I had a very Bad accident last sunday week. I lost Control of my car, hit a curb and flew into a bus stop. The car ended up on its roof after a couple of airtime spins and I dont know how but luckily walked away with minor cuts and bruises. sadly the car is in a bad way. the very bad thing is that my mot ran out about 3 weeks ago and i forgot to renew it.

:yikes: sorry to hear you had a bad off, the important thing is that you walked away unscathed.

Quite.

Real bummer about the MOT though - presumably your insurance has turned around and told you to get stuffed as a result?

Yup Thats excactly wat they said. its my own fault. no one else to blame. it really is a summer car. S and ice really dont go together in the same sentance

Pics? :D ;)

Two squashed S in 2 weeks, the competition is really hotting up!!!

On a more serious note, glad you came out the other side ok though dude. I only hit a fence and that turned my pants brown so can't imagine what all this upside malarky must be like! :(

Do you have to have a valid MOT certificate for your insurance to be valid? I know you have to have one to get a tax disc (dependant on age), but didn't realise you did for insurance purposes?

Yup. Reasoning being that it may not be fit for the road (ie some fault that could cause the accident) so invalidates the insurance.

Sounds nasty, glad you're ok.

I assume there was no one waiting for the bus :eek3:

should have kept quiet about the mot and got yourself straight down the dodgiest looking mot centre and offered them 500 squid for a bent mot!!
