Amendment to Regional For Sale Rules

There is going to be a site wide policy amendment to regional and national For Sale boards, to bring the rules in line with the 'main' For Sale forum in the s2ki marketplace.
What this means for the UK FS&W forum is a slight change but simple one.
It will mean that only paid S2KI Members will be able to start threads.
Guests will still be able to view threads and post replies, but not start new threads.
This will happen within the next week. There is no set date yet, but I will post to let you know when it comes into effect.
The forum permissions will change to enable this funtion to work automatically, removing the need for Moderator/CO intervention to remove Guests' threads.
We won't remove any threads that fall within the existing UK FS rules (i.e. Guests posting S2000 related items for sale).
There are a number of benefits in doing this, which I won't begin to list, but the main one is that a Member has a registered postal address which can be accessed by the admins if required, so offers a little extra protection for buyers. (however it still stands that s2ki is not a buy/sell service like eBay. It's not what we do or why we exist. The FS forum is for the convenience of members but any transactions you choose to undertake are entirely at your risk.)
This is something that many of you have been asking for too, of course not everyone will like it (s2ki guests who want to sell things perhaps?!) but like the management have always said, s2ki members are the priority on the forums.

No issue with the change BTW. Makes sense for folks to get all the protection the site can provide.
