FS: EGR/Airpump delete kit

EGR/Airpump delete kit
Hi guys, I'm Daan, and live in the Netherlands. I've put together these kits for a while now. Winfreak sold them for me on this board, but since he's not driving an S2000 anymore, I thought lets start a topic here, and offer these kits to our fellow S2000 owners who can’t be bothered soldering the resistor and sourcing the other necessary parts themselves.
The kit is for European and JDM s2000s only (USDM cars have a different system) and here’s a summary of what it does:
Remove:
- Remove airpump
- Remove EGR
- Remove airpump/EGR piping
- Remove vacuum lines and metal bracket
- Remove plastic vacuum tank on cross member
Replace:
- Replace valve cover breather pipe
- Replace throttle body coolant pipe
And install:
- stainless steel EGR blank off plate
- Airpump dummy resistor
- Rubber cap for intake tube airpump connection
- Rubber cap for vacuum nipple on intake manifold
This is what’s included in the kit: (comes with a new model heat shield resistor)

All this comes out, 4kg worth of pointless weight:

It’s a pretty straight forward job, I managed to get it all done in under 2 hours.
You don't need to remove the front bumper to get to the airpump, just remove a few bolts from the inner fender undernead the front bumper and you can get there.
Besides the airpump, all the rest is in sight of the engine bay!
Some guys are running aftermarket air intakes, and allready installed aftermarket hoses from the valve cover and the trottle body,
for thoses we offer the kit, without the 2 hoses.
Price for the complete kit is £49 delivered.
Price for the kit, without the 2 hoses (valve cover and trottle body) is £45 delivered.
Price for single airpump resistor £25 delivered.
Price for single egr cover £25 delivered.
If you want to order, please sent me your adres in a pm.

Here are some pictures for the DIY.
Remove the airpump (2 bolts, 12mm) You dont have to remove the frontbumper.
[attachment=82325:1.jpg]
Remove the airhose from the airpump to your intake tube, and put the cover on:
[attachment=82326:2.jpg]
Same one but then on my AEM V2 intake. (cover is tabs running, so you can cut it in the right seize for your aftermarket intake)
[attachment=82327:2.5.jpg]
Remove EGR vaccuum line, from EGR to intake manifold:
[attachment=82328:3.jpg]
Put the rubber cover on the intake manifold:
[attachment=82339:6.jpg]
Take the EGR off (2 bolts, 12mm) and install the stainless cover plate: (you need to use the OEM egr gasket!) (23nm torque)
[attachment=82330:4.jpg]
You need a kink link to get to the rear nut.
[attachment=82336:12.jpg]
Then you can remove this long bugger that goes all the way from the EGR to the airpump, this was the difficult part as it's connected in several places and is a bit tight: (the metal tube has 2 bolts, 10mm) It's a little bit easier to remove this on a UK RHD car, LHD cars has the Airco tubes running in the way.
[attachment=82331:7.jpg]
Then this horrible thing comes out:
[attachment=82332:8.jpg]
It will be replaced by these 2 new rubber lines:
[attachment=82333:9.jpg]
you need to cut a little piece of the tube, from that horrible thing, to use as connecting for 1 rubber hose
check this picture. Use a metal saw or dremel.
[attachment=82337:14.jpg]
And this one is removed from under the fuel rail cover: (2 bolts, 10mm) (12nm torque)
[attachment=82334:10.jpg]
Remove the rest of the vaccuum lines: (1 bolt, 10mm)
[attachment=82335:11.jpg]
Put on 2 rubber covers on this solenoid. Still need to find an resistor for this one, so it can be removed.

looks better, but does the same job

hiya, i have had the airpump turned off on flashpro and removed almost all the pipework exept the egr related stuff, i would like to remove the actual weight of it and fit the resister so although the ecu it isnt looking for it now, when i put it back to standard it will be and i want to keep it from throwing an EML
so i think i would need - the resister+cable etc/egr blank/2 small blanks for the solenoid, , could you pm me a price for these bits? (and if ive missed anything)

Hi Dan_Bourne, You will need the kit, without the 2 rubber hoses. If you allready have these 2 hoses installed? Sometimes they come with a different intake.
I can do 35,- gbp for the kit, without the 2 hoses. They are quite expensive unfortainly.
Hi Melly-S2k, I always have theses kits on stock, I can ship the same business day as paypal transfer is made. Shipping will take 2-3 business days I guess,
depending on where you live in the UK.
