Default FS: Mase turbo kit

Ok I am selling my complete Mase turbo kit from my car, as I have other plans now. I was selling the car, then a p/x deal came along, but due to hassle i'm going to keep the car and do something with it

The kit is still on the car but I will start removing it around the 20th Jan.

Mileage wise i'd guess it's covered around 5k miles, I can verify later if required. What I do know is it has not been driven hard at all. The previous owner didn't push the car, and I think i've probably only done 500 miles in the car since I bought it. I've also just bought a massive new K&N filter for it. The fuel pump is a new one also, as i'm not removing it from my car.

On my car the kit was putting out 425whp (don't know or care what this is at the flywheel) and was extremely quick. I don't think many cars will keep up with you! I took one of Dixon's mechanics out in it and I think he was in mild shock afterwards Downhill, second gear flat out, ouch. I don't have any video footage of it, but I guess you can imagine what the combination of power and car weight is going to be like.

The whooshing noises from the wastegate are very nice, and the angry bark from it when you are on full boost sounds like a swarm of angry wasps

The fit and quality kit itself is very impressive indeed, i'd be quite proud if I were that Mase chap! Phil and Lucky77 have run variants of the kit over here, and there are a good number of users of it in the US. The only thing i'd probably do to it is wrap the manifold to keep the heat down. There are some good threads on this somewhere. The issues I had with it were due to the installation, where basically the wastegate came loose and melted my coolant line. Installation is very easy if you are handy with spanners, and the fuel pump is probably the most tricky part. I also have the installation manual on PDF which I will pass on.

The kit consists of:
Mase Engineering Turbo Manifold/Downpipe/Wastegate Dump
Manifold Made from Schedule 10 thick walled Stainless Steel
Downpipe made From 16 Gauge 304 Stainless Steel

Mase Engineering Specified Precision High Flow Intercooler
Bar & plate construction Garrett Core

Tial Wastegate and Blow off Valve

Mase Engineering Intercooler Piping

Engine Management and Fuel Setup
725cc Injectors with plug and play clips (no resistor box or extra wiring needed)

Basically the only thing you will need to complete the kit is an AEM EMS engine management. I am happy to send you my AEM map file, but obviously it would be wise to get Mase to check it.

I'm also selling the 3" Asura exhaust system too (which you will need!)

The exhaust system is a very nice bit of work, and for a 3" i'm very impressed at how quiet it is. It's nowhere near OEM levels, but there is no drone.

This is a $6000 turbo kit (plus UK VAT and shipping!) plus $1000 exhuast. So about £5500 worth of stuff if you tried to import it new. All you need is an AEM EMS, which can be bought for £600-900. I will also throw in the turbo heatshield, and the little custom one for the front of the engine block.

I'm asking £3600 for the full kit & exhaust, collection only.

Or if splitting it would be £3250 for the turbo plus post, and £500 for the exhaust collection only. I can ship the turbo overseas if required.

I'd prefer to sell it as a lot though.

Please, only PM me if you are serious about the kit. You can do plenty of research on the forum about the Mase kit and there is a lot of detail in this post

Also, NO OFFERS, i'm happier for the kit to sit im my garage as an ornament than take stupid offers.

PS - I will soon be selling the competition clutch / flywheel I have fitted, which will be required if you haven't had a clutch upgrade. I'm sourcing an OEM clutch first, so I can't remove it until I get that sorted. Edit - currently reserved.

BUMP for an excellent seller and an excellent price

Any seriously interested people wanting a feel of how the power is put down are welcome for a quick run in my car (but I'm running less power atm, but still will scare you senseless )

By the time you've bought that and had it tuned, you'll be near the price of a new kit.

Mase lists the lot for 4800 on his page, brand new and ready tuned.

Yes well done. If you want a new one, go and buy one.

The "no fuel system" price on the Mase site is not just lacking the AEM, i's the whole "fuel system"... You will also pay shipping and tax.

I posted the Mase link so people could see this.

Tuning? As I said in the thread, normally the AEM comes pre mapped from mase, and i'm offering my Mase / Artech map, so no tuning needed in theory.

Any further comments on price will be deleted.
