FS: MY95 Accord Coupe 2.0iES Auto
It looks like my car will have to make way for Amanda's new one, when we decide what it will be, so here it is.
Look at the spec on this motor (and it all works)
MY95 Accord Coupe
103k miles
Leather
2 Previous Owners
A/C
Cruise Control
Blaupunkt MP3 (negotiable in deal)
Nokia Phone kit for a Nokia 6310i (again negotiable in deal)
Electric Windows
Electric Sunroof
Electric heated mirrors
Electric Aerial (which still works!)
Automatic Gearbox
15" Alloys
12months MOT
Just serviced
Taxed until June 2006
New Windscreen last month for MOT
Serviced with Honda main dealer every 6000 miles for 78k miles - I have every receipt including the original PDI sheet. Serviced once a year since then. Cambelts done 2 years ago at 80k miles IIRC
Auto gearbox oil changed in last few months
Excellent working order, As I say everything works (except the headlamp washer jets ). I've had it since Easter this year and have done 6k trouble free miles in it. I really like driving this car, it's like sitting in a huge relaxing armchair and guiding it along. That, along with the fact that it's an auto make it completely stress free driving I am selling because I need a dog transporter with room for my bass amps.
This is a huge car, the boot is massive, it can easily seat 4 adults even though it's a coupe. Unlike the rest of the MY95 Accords, the Coupe is not a rebadged Rover 600 and is actually a US model. The engine is also a proper Honda unit - F20b, unlike the rest of the 2.0l Accord range. I bought it because of the way it drove and the great service history. It makes a great companion to the S2000 and you get the best of both worlds - a great commuter car and a great drivers car
The car gets a lot of compliments because of it's condition, my MD couldn't believe it was a 10 year old car when he was asking about it last week. It's also a bit of a rarity on the roads which I like
Issues with the car...
Someone keyed the passenger rear quarter panel with a compass, but because the car is white you can only see it close up.
Alloys are in poor condition corrosion-wise
A few scrapes on the front bumper.
Heater blows out warmish air (not hot) on cold, but switching on the a/c sorts that out
It was taking a long time to cool down and my local Honda stealer told me it needed a new headgasket In truth, when my local mechanic looked at it, he told me it was just low on coolant, the headgasket was fine, and just to keep the tank filled up. Since then - 600 miles ago it hasn't lost any water. And the cooling has been fine.
