You won't be able to get a facelift with your budget, even CAT C/D facelift cars are selling for the £6.5k mark and they will require a bit of work as well.

You need at least £8k for a facelift car with a hardtop, just remember that parts for the S2000 aren't cheap so any work you plan to do on it will cost a pretty penny.

My advice would be to save up a little more and spend a bit more on a well looked after preface lift or save up more to get a decent facelift car, its not unusual for people to buy a cheap S2000 and end up spending so much on 'doing it up' that they would have ended up being able to buy a low mileage facelift car.

I "Maybe" selling mine in the next week or so, iv not had it long at all, but probably bought it at the wrong time, due to moving house in the coming month and having to carry our 22KG Staffy around with us, we dint realize quite how small they were. i will be having another in the future once we are settled though. here is a quick advert that i will update lunch time with the Full history it has, previous owner owned it for 5 years
