2008 Service and Shopping Reccomendations
Shop and dealership service reviews for the UMW area:
Please post up your RECENT experiences (good or bad) in this thread for work that you have personally had done at a local shop on your S2000.
Feel free to include answers to any/all/none of the following questions:
Name of the shop?
Name of your service tech?
What was the type of service done?
What is your impressions on the professionalism of the shop doing the work?
How was communication with the technician?
Was the work done on time, and within budget?
Have you had to return for any reason?
The goal here is to be able to provide feedback on local shops so we can all benefit where there is a "good" shop, and avoid a "bad" shop.
Keep in mind that this thread is subject to SLIGHTLY more moderation than most. We are not going to remove references to a bad experience, but we want to avoid fights, and we also want to avoid blatant advertising.

Name of the shop: Profunction
Name of your service tech: Pinyo
What was the type of service done: Full Suspension Rebuild/Turbo Motor Work
What is your impressions on the professionalism of the shop doing the work: The man is awesome to deal with and really knows how to treat customers right. And seems like the first tuner I REALLY trust with my car.
How was communication with the technician: Have cell phone number and can annoy him whenever I want haha
Was the work done on time, and within budget: Work will be done shortly and everything would've been under budget if I didn't keep buying things (My bad Pinyo).
Have you had to return for any reason: I will be returning when I get my motor built this summer!

What was the type of service done? 4.44 gear install (brought only diff and all install parts to him)
What is your impressions on the professionalism of the shop doing the work? everyone there is nice. Pinyo is top notch. went above and beyond for me
How was communication with the technician? Excellent. very easy to reach.
Was the work done on time, and within budget? Faster than expected. Within budget.
Have you had to return for any reason? No, but i will return to get my car tuned by Profunction in the spring
