A&L autobody in Palatine off of Dundee and Rt 14. They have a huge BMW following and if you know anything about those kind of owners you can expect them to be super picky.

I've also heard great things about them.

I took my AP1 to a small shop in Madison, WI for rust repair, came in way under budget & the work looks great, not sure you'd want to go that far though.

Vern's Auto Body (or Vern's Body Shop). Is in Middleton IIRC. Super small ma/pop type of place, not perfect work but I'm happy.

I've been really happy with a quite small shop in St. Charles where I have my work done. Jim's Auto Body on Wallace Road in St. Charles.

+1. Used A&L for some small work (door skin) on my S2000, and a relatively major ($7500+) hit on my TSX. Great place, top notch work.
