Default Bridgestone Potenza RE-11A Rears?

Hey guys,

I have a friend* that needs two new RE-11A rears for his S2000, does anyone know where he can get a new pair to match his fronts.....since they are doing well and only 3 years old?

Thanks,
Brian

I have a single RE11A 255/40 17 tire but not a pair. Nearly new, about 100 miles on it.

These are old tires. They were sold out by the Spring of 2016 (when I tried to buy another 17" set) so they probably stopped making them in 2015. Was replaced by the RE-71A but I replaced mine with Bridgestone S-04 and don't notice any difference in the car's handling. The S-04s are on special at Tire Rack which usually happens when a new tire is due to to replace it.

Thanks guys, are the S-04's as good in the wet as the RE-11A's?
If so, that's a BINGO!
I know that the 050's are great in the dry but as scary as the S-02's in the wet.....

I think the S-04s are just fine in the rain, just like the RE-11As. Tread patterns are similar. I'm running "CR Spec" tires 17/215 front, 17/255 rear. Many run 17/225 in front with no fender issues.

Thanks Chuck, I should have mentioned that these are 16's on stock AP1 wheels.

Tire Rack does not show the S-04 tires at all in 16" size and they're a good indicator of what's on the market.
