Illinois "New front license plate law"
Has anyone heard of this new possible AMAZING law that they are trying to pass? No front license plate required. Anyone can chime in on this?

I saw something on the news about this a little while ago. A reporter "interviewed" the alderman behind the proposal, along with various other folks against the idea for various stupid reasons, such as "what about all the crimes that will go unsolved when eyewitnesses aren't able to take down license plates from the front of a car speeding away." i kid you not. then as the report ends, the anchors briefly summed up with the reporter something along the lines of "just doesn't seem worth it given the relatively low cost savings to the state."

I've been in the burbs of Chicago for 6 years now with 3 different cars and never used a front plate. I have been pulled over numerous times, but they never mention the plate missing. I've had 1 ticket while legally parked on Clark for a night Cubs game. Thats it.
