My First S2000. First pictures
Hey Everyone,
I'm proud to share the first official pictures of my new S2000. I am new to the S2000 community, after recently selling my 98 K24 Civic hatchback. I was looking for something more refined in stock form, that also would be enjoyable on the street as well as the track. After several months of searching, I finally landed on a clean little AP1 in Northern MI. I purchased the car from the original owner, who got on the wait list for the car in 1998. I picked it up with 79,709 miles, 100% original and never modified. Aside from a recent brake rotor upgrade that was done Summer 2016, and I added a Modifry second cup holder this morning. I wound up paying $10,500 for the car.
Plans for the car are to try and enjoy it in stock form, or as close to it as possible. I'm going to pick up an OEM hardtop this weekend to solve my plastic window woes. Need to change all the fluids, valve lash adjustment, AP2 intake side valve retainers, new battery, PDR work on a few dings, and a good detail. I have not yet washed the car or cleaned the interior, so don't pick on me
I'm looking forward to making some new friends in the community and beginning to get involved here.
Also, I've always kept journals of the cars that I've owned in the past. Is there a spot on s2ki where people do that? Or is that not really a thing here?

Haha! There will be no overfenders here. I certainly saw several of them during my search though.
The extent of any modification to the car would likely be limited to suspension tuning. But probably will be at least a year or two before I'm really even thinking about doing so. I'm trying to keep myself limited to scca street class autocross rules to prevent me from having another heavily modified, in streetable car
i did some tooling around yesterday and really love the feel of everything in its current form though. It's no wonder why the S has such a great following.

Thanks for the news and pictures!
The S2000 is by far the most perfect a bone stock car as we've ever encountered.
The only 'mods' we've done to ours was a louder exhaust, slotted brake rotors and clear marker lenses......
As far as keeping a Journal goes, how about just bumping this thread with every update.....it's not like the Forum is overactive ;^D
