New AP2 Owner - Metro Detroit - Body Shop Opinions Needed
I purchased a one owner 2007 Laguna Blue Pearl from a gentleman in New Hampshire in late 2015. It's the car I've wanted since I was in high school. :-)
The soft top is ripped at both front corners at the handles, like many others. I want to go with a Robbins Fabric Top. Anyone have a body shop or upholstery/trim shop in SE Michigan they'd recommend? I've talked to a few local S2k owners and they just replaced theirs with the OEM one at the dealer.

Just had the top replaced last week. I ordered the Robbins Stayfast Fabric Top, and had it directly shipped to Shelby Trim in Sterling Heights. They did a fantastic job!

We have reached the time for a new soft top. We had a quote from Shelby trim for well over $2000.00. Rather a scary price.
How is the Robbins Stayfast working out? Are you still as pleased with it and Shelby trim as you were when the job was first done?
I'd like the contact information for Larry Laird as well.
Would really appreciate any help you guys can give.

Well, I guess it's never too late than never to update the thread, I didn't realize people would be interested in it. Anyway, the guys at Shelby Trim did great work. Labor was $1,000 and I provided the top. This is what the car looked like when I picked it up from them. It's been 4 years since this picture, and the the top and workmanship have held up perfectly and still looks as good as when I picked it up in Feb 2017. The second picture is from this weekend.
