Default New to s2k and upper mid-west

Just moved to Michigan 1 month ago, and purchased my s2000 last week, hope to meet other s2000 owners in Detroit/Ann Arbor/Troy area.

Welcome to Michigan. Tell us about your S. Not usually much activity on this thread but hopefully your post will spark some new interest.

Welcome to Michigan! We live in Farmington Hills, and drive the S almost any sunny day in the 8 months or so when the white stuff abates. We have a silver year 2000 with upgraded 17" wheels and a new convertible top (glass window).

There are some great roads in the area that are fun to drive. You will enjoy your S2000 around here. Huron River Dive is a favorite, as is North Territorial Road. Driving through the Irish Hills on US12 is a blast as well.

Welcome, the s2k group here doesn't do much but be sure to check the michigan group on nsxprime, they do a couple drives a year and we also have a couple s2000s come along.

Welcome and congrats on the move and the S.

It's hibernating time for most of us now, but hopefully we can do a get together in the spring.

Cool, another new S2000 owner in SE MI.

Rob is right, check in on this NSX Prime thread occasionally for organized drives;

There are a few of us that have both cars, and enjoy them equally!

Thank you guys for the comment. I do have a question for you experienced owner out there. In terms of fixing minor problems, for example, the dashboard "brake" light is on, shall I go to mechanics who have experience with S2K or any experienced mechanic? There are quite a few decent shop nearby, but I heard good comments about "Jurgen Auto Repair", who has quite some experience with S2K but is 30 mins drive away from where I live.

I can't help you there, I've only taken mine to the dealer, but then in 12 years it's only need normal maintenance, nothing has ever gone wrong with it.

Welcome, I'm an upper mid-wester myself but Chicago area. To answer your question about mechanics...some things a general mechanic can handle, other items you want to find someone with some S knowledge. These forums are a great place to start. For your brake light, you may be low on fluid or maybe excersize the emergency brake level.
