^ I'd heard that a lot of tracks are now requiring the S to have a roll bar.

I'm up for some track events this year (I know I always say that), but don't want to put a roll bar in, any ideas or any truth to that?

As far as I know, roll bar regulations are set by the organizers and/or the site (which is set for them by their respective insurance companies). I have not had any problem in the past with any specific local track requiring a roll bar - nor do I expect to this year (Gingerman, Grattan, Autobahn). I have come across some clubs that require the S2000 to have a roll bar. You should check with the organizer before committing to any track event.

thanks Pat.

The Ohio guys were all saying that Mid Ohio requires them now, so I wasn't sure if anyone else had followed suit.

Autobahn and Gingerman are both privately held and offer no sanctioned racing events. As such, they are less likely to put in more restrictions. (unless driven by their insurance carriers.) Road America, Mid-Ohio, etc would likely be the first to introduce more restrictions.

Thanks, Pat. I have been meaning to do that for a few weeks, but kept putting it off.

That reminds me. The list covers tracks in the UMW with a few exceptions. Mid-Ohio and Mid-America Motorplex. I made exceptions for these tracks because I know there is interest from UMW members and they are relatively close to the region. If an organization has events at tracks in the region (Gingerman, Autobahn, etc.) and events outside the region (VIR, Road Atlanta, etc.), I still only included the in-region events.

We (www.MVPTrackTime.com) allow the S2000 on track without a roll bar at Putnam Park (near Indy), Autobahn Country Club (Joliet, IL.), Blackhawk Farms (Rockford, IL), Road Atlanta and Watkins Glen. Per the rest of our schedule, the tracks require a roll bar.
