Default Driving through

Hey guys and gals, I'm from Birmingham Alabama and I'm thinking about going to Seattle for a year (possibly more). I'm having a hard time deciding whether to drive there or not. I have a few places to stay along the way, but I would be putting close to 4,000 miles on the S and it would cost around $450 in gas. Flying would be less expensive but I'd be car-less. I'm trying to find out if anyone has every done something like this in an S2000. Is Utah a pretty S friendly state?

Thanks!

I've not driven it in the S, but I've driven through Utah a few times now from Michigan. Drive. Utah has some pretty damn spectacular scenery, top down in the S would be awesome.

use the transporter service! Yes they are a little expensive, but car less would cost you a lot more

I have driven from SLC, Ut to Valdosta, GA (right on the Florida- Georgia border.) It is not that bad of a drive. I had a blast doing it!

Awesome- that's exactly what I wanted to hear. Thanks guys! Playground- I had thought of doing that but it would be around $1000 and I don't have that much to spare. The car already has over 130,000 on it so I'm not exactly trying to keep it low mileage at this point.

So, my next question to those who have done this is should I raise the car a little- right now I'm running about a finger gap between tire and fender. I feel like I might encounter some bumper shredding situations if I leave it that low. Any other advice or helpful hints would be awesome.

If everything works out this will be my first experience west of Louisiana.

When are you going? Are you going to drive through northern Utah? It won't be long before we start to get snow in the mountains. I would also prefer to be at stock height if I were to go cross country. Freeways and highways are decent, I don't think you will find a gnarly pothole in Utah, but there is plenty of road between here and there.

I'm thinking October 19 or 20th. I have a place to stay in South Ogden on my way.

i have a transporter that i use very often, PM me, and ill send over their info. As far as driving through, I live in South Ogden!, so as Ashton. We can meet up for a lunch or dinner before you head out. or better yet, i can help inspect the car before heading out for another 1000 miles or so.

Absolutely. That all sounds perfect, thank you so much. I'm not an any sort of schedule once I hit the road so I can't give you a specific day.
