Anyone selling a clean S2000
If anyone is interested in their cars, be sure to check out the body carefully. I saw them a few years ago and still remember their red 08 ap2 w/ hardtop had front end paint work done. It wasn't anything major but wouldn't you expect a little better considering the prices they're demanding?
I don't see how that dealer is making much money on those s2k's. They've been sitting around at their dealer for so many years. They're taking up a lot of valuable real estate and are probably tying up money that could have been reinvested in many other used cars with much higher turn over. And if those cars were purchased using borrowed money, the interest probably would have eaten up all the margin by now.

I'd guess all they have to do is sell one a year to make up for the other ones that dont. They're marked up extremely heavily.
I hope you guys know that black cr sold many years ago (I think it was 2011 if my memory is correct). it also wasn't bone stock.
What a difference a year makes! I checked out that wix.com link posted above (thanks, zetazeta!) and was reminded that I certainly did pay top price for my car. At the time, S2000's were a new experience for me, and I was not aware of this forum or of current private-sale valuations. My bad
I must say I was a bit taken aback when I looked at the prices, now that I know the market a bit better. Of course, the dealer does need to make a profit, and the cars they have on hand seem in good shape. My car came from California and had to be "Canadianized" and approved before being sold. I did receive after-sales service for a couple of issues a month or so later, and they tossed in a new alarm system and 2 years wheel damage insurance, so I can't complain. But yes, the prices are high. Fortunately my car has performed flawlessly so far, and a subsequent full inspection by a different dealer found zero problems.
No matter ... I'm pleased to own such a superb piece of automotive engineering
