Car won't start :(
Hey guys, I don't know what's going on but my car won't start. I washed it about 5 days ago and it started fine.
That was the last time I started it. The battery seems to be okay as the windows, brake lights and stereo all work. The car is an 06 so it's possible it's on its last leg.
When I press the start button, the engine tries to turn over once before I start hearing rapid clicking noises. I tried to give it a bit of gas to start it but it didn't work either. I'd push start it but it's not very practical in my underground parking.
Not sure if this is normal but when I have the key to ON II, the engine light along with all the other lights come on normally, but then blinks a couple of times and flashes off.
I will get some jumper cables later today and see if I can jump start it.
Any suggestions?

Sounds like a battery that just shit the bed on you. I had the same thing happen to me on my old car...the car was totally fine, I shut it off, then 30 mins later it wouldn't start at all! It was so toasted the car wouldn't even idle, I had to keep the revs up on it at stoplights to stop the car from stalling.
Try making sure the battery terminals are clean too...I know corrosion can create a bad connection and give you the same problem.
If you can jump start it with cables, then your battery is probably toast.

batteries dont work as well in the cold, you'll need a jump. The clicking noise is the electric starter motor trying to turn your engine over but doesnt have enough amperage at this temperature to do it. you can try to jump and recharge and hope that it works, replace the battery if its dead or consider at battery with more cold cranking amps.

same here lkasdjfa;lskdjf;aoeijf;a/fa;sldjf;oaijef;aowejf;waoijef;oij btw chinese delivery, if your discription is what i think it is.. i believe ur battery terminals are dirty, or loose, try cleaning it and tightening it, it happend to my old car before with that rapid clicking noise, then i figured it was the negative terninal on my battery, it was loose and it didnt have good contact to the battery. try that hope it works for you =D

I got jumper cable today and was able to jump start the car. Thank god it wasn't something big like the starter or the alternator.
I'll have to check if the terminals are loose tomorrow and see if I can tighten it up.
I'm also considering getting a replacement battery as I will be running a sound system as well. A friend recommended Optima red or yellow top. My friend also said that our cars takes a lot of power to start. It's possible that when it's cold like the last few days, the battery I have just doesn't cut it.
