hey guys, just thought I'd chime in my 2 cents since I have a voodoo knob as well.

I've never been a big fan of the ball shift knobs either, but I've gotta say the voodoo knob is awesome. Very comfortable in your hand, heavy enough for good throws but not too heavy, and countersunk goodness! I've got the polished black knob and it doesn't get too cold in the winter, although it obviously gets hella hot when it's in the sun.
Wow, another Voodoo user! Thanks for your opinion!

Lol, what do you think I'm using now? Besides Ray, you want to keep your car stock for now!

Hey ya,

This is the method I used and it worked out real well. Took about 45 min all together since I wasn't quite sure what I was doing. Depending on the torque power or your drill, it could be pretty tough to bore out the oem knob.
I used a vice to hold the knob in place (while wrapped in a towel)

hope that helps.

Hi docsmiley,

Thanks for the suggestion. I saw that post and thought about doing that way too, except I don't really want to cut the shifter.

I take it yours is holding up?

holding on same as before. There was still about 1/2 inch (did it awhile ago so can't remember exactly) of thread still left on the shifter after I cut the top off. Plenty to hold the knob tight and firm.

Might be just me, but I actually like the OEM knob and thus did it this way
