Default exhaust - catalytic converter - BC inspection

I currently run a single T1R 70 mm exhaust with no catalytic converter and have to put in the silencer in the tailpipe to tone it down.

Pros - looks and sounds great and I believe I get extra HP
Cons - smelly, shoots a huge cloud of black smoke when I really step into it, on the loud side

Have to pass a vehicle inspection now so has me thinking. Not sure how I would fit the piece in but possibly go with the Berk 70mm High Flow Catalytic Converter and then remove my silencer. Any ideas on this? Does the Berk pass AirCare if it ever came back?

As I am getting older and have had the car forever, I am tired of the smell of fumes and would like it to be a bit quieter.

(I tried to correct the spelling error in the title with the go advanced option)

Thanks.

Did you export your car out of province? Why do you need to get it inspected? I presume the exhaust is a one piece, if so, it may be easier to just sell it and buy another exhaust, along with a HFC.

2 piece and the measurement of the pipe to remove is about 35 inches. I'm not sure how long the Berk cat length is. I'm sure it can fit in there.

Reason: This car has not had a front plate on it ever since I got the J's body kit which is guessing about 15 years ago. My front bumper lower wing was missing as I ripped it off after cracking it. So I got pulled over on a day time road check and here I am. At least it's getting me to fix things. Front bumper and plate on with new CF wing. Look great. I should have done that a long time ago lol.
