You can prob ask Alex. With that price, I'd just fly down to Oregon, buy it there and drive back. Exchange rate sucks though.

This question has been asked a few times. Do a search! Maybe the info should be stickied for reference.

how difficult would it be to register this car in canada?
It is not that much work to do. I found all the info once before on this site in this section Do a search and it will come up.

I know that you guys have the sales tax and then the exchange rate on top of that. IIRC it came out to about 11% added to the price of the car.

Then you have to go through inspection. The only thing that will keep you from passing inspection on my S2000 is daytime running lights. You would need to have them installed. They only cost about $70 or so.

It should be stickied for sure though

Thanks for looking,

Brandon

ac tax is only 100$ i believe so its irrelevant...
Inspection fee...DRL install<----somehow my car went thru without DRL ...,the temp insurance i believe for 30$?...

its really not the best time to buy US cars for canadian buyers....you'll end up spending somewhat the same give/take $1000-2000...

Normally I would agree with you that it is not a good time to buy a car in the states if you are in Canada but this car is priced to sell not matter where you are. Even with all the added taxes and fees you have to pay to transfer it you are still getting a great deal.

I might even help someone out by showing the sale price lower if you can pay some in cash. This would help with the taxes you have to pay

I think Ray is referring to the Canadian forex vs the USD!
