greddy SE dual vs fujitsubo legalis R
i currently get bored with my stock ap2 so i decided to get some little mods. i am thinking to get new exhuast because the stock exhuast give little passion to a sport car :D , however i dont want something loud/drone cause i DD my s. After a week researching and reading on board, greddy SE dual and fujitsubo legalis R seem to be the best choices regarding the volume and quality (both made in Japan i think).
For my understanding, fujitsubo legalis R is the quietest in the market and many people claim that it is too close to stock that not worth its $1000+ price. I have a buddy has it on his si and i think it's petty nice for DD. i never get a chance to hear it on an S in person so i dont know how it sounds. For greddy se dual, i think it should be louder than the fujitsubo and most people think it still good for DD. Also, i do not expect power gain from exhuast mod instead i am kind of worry about loss power (maybe low end torque) since i have stock intake/header/ECU. I think some of you guys have those exhuast on your car, share you opinions please :D the last question, you guys boguht it at local distributors or ordered online? thanks in advance!!! :hello: |
Greddy SE for sure!!!
Cam (SS04) has the dual. and Taylor (Koski) has the single. And i believe taylor is planning on selling his Greddy SE single. the fujitsubo is seriously like stock. with shiny mufflers. |
between those 2.. the greddy se dual. i want that exhaust :(

Actually, taylors greddy single se is much quieter than cams dual greddy se...heard both in person without testpipes. I'm sure others will vouch for this too. We we were all surprised.

yupp...
I like the dual cause its louder. the single is too quiet for me. |
I have Fujitsubo on my car and it is REALLY quiet.
you won't hear the exhaust once vtec kicks in.. intake noise takes over. I might buy testpipe and see if it gets bit louder. |
Don't buy the Greddy SE dual if you are looking for a quiet exhaust. You are more than welcome to come for a ride in my car to hear it for yourself. I have the SE Dual and a T1R 70mm TP. It's not quiet. It's not overwhelmingly loud either, but there is definitely some drone (with or without the TP)
I love the sound of it, and from what everyone else says about it, it sounds great when I'm WOT (especially in tunnels  ) But yeah, it's not quiet. I thought it would be quiet judging from what everyone writes about it. Apparently "quiet" is subjective. |

ive heard both single and dual Greddy SE and I agree that the dual is much louder than the single. Get one of these though instead of the fujitsubo, the muffler looks sick and the fujitusbo is too quiet.

i have the fujitsubo with t1r testpipe.
Dont think the test pipe made THAT big of a difference, but its loud enough for my personal preference. |

i have the duel greddy, just put it on my car last week. its louder than i thought it was going to be and i love it. i was looking around for a long time on exhaust and sense they stopped making the evo2 i thought that the new system would be great, it looks the best out of everything i have seen. cant go wrong with greddy!!

where do you guys get your exhuast, greddy or fujitsubo..and price. PM me please
|
yeah the Greddy is a sweet exhaust and looks great. I've heard Cam's and it has a little deeper bass than mine. I went with the Apexi WS2. Its not full stainless piping like the Greddy, but I didn't buy it for longevity and the weight diff is negligible. I think it might fall somewhere in between the Greddy and Fujitsubo in terms of sound. Been very happy with the Apexi.
I'll PM you prices when I shopped around. |

For some clarity regarding the Greddy SE. GoTuning is the exclusive dealer for the Greddy SE. They had Greddy slightly change the piping from the "Y" to the outlets. The GoTuning model (the ONLY model currently being produced) goes 70mm to dual 60mm.
I had the option of buying an older Greddy SE through a local dealer, but I learned that the original Greddy SE's go 70mm to dual 50mm (may not be exact but it is smaller) and yielded slightly less gains. You can tell the original's apart from the GoTuning SE's from the laser etched tips. One says "GoTuning" the other says "Greddy". Took me a some research and phone calls to learn all of that. |
:iagree: thats where i got mine from, it took three months to get cuz they were on back order from japan. GoTuning is pretty much the only place you can get it unless you can find someone selling it used on here. they have it on the sponsors listing under the engine forum. $1163.00

did i miss anything? |
yup, built in japan- extra cost 6.1% i believe
if you get shipped to your home in canada you have to add brokerage plus its always more expensive to have things shipped across the border best to get it shipped to blaine or pt roberts and pick it up yourself |
^:iagree: need to add duty, Cam should be able to give us an idea as to duty though.
|
Ya let me look up the papers.
