Wheel Fitment
Okay I have spent hours and hours looking everywhere for info, looked closely at the fitment guide still not sure if or how this will work. Set of wheels that I am looking at have these offsets 17x7.5+48 front 17x9+40 rear would like to run 215 front and 255 rear tire sizes. What would it take to make this work. Drives me crazy that it's so hard to find wheels that work for an S2000. If anyone has these offsets rear please let me know of any issues that I may be faced with, and how close to rubbing for the fronts would I be?

That is a low offset Mark and may require some fender rolling. I'm no expert on that by far though. I'm sure others have far more experience that I with wheel fitment. I have the same size tires with exception to the front tire.
My tires are 225 front and 255 rear. I also went with a slightly wider rim Mine are 8 in the front and 9.5 in the rear running 17" rims. The offset though that I went with was the OEM offset. Here is a good guide:

Fronts will be fine (same size as I'm running and I haven't rubbed yet), but I think you'll likely need to roll the rears. Will you be lowering your car? My rears are 17x8.5 +54 with 245s and the tire rubbed slightly until another camber adjustment--and I'm not very low.
It depends if you are lowering your car? You might be able to get away with the rears at stock height but they might rub on big bumps or at higher speed dips?
For reference, when I had 17x9+45 with 245 (stock) tire, lowered, I needed to roll the fenders, relocate bumper tab, and add negative camber.

long long time ago i was running 17x9+40 with a 235/40/17 on espelir asd spring wuth no rubbing issue, a 255 is pretty wide but always depend on the brand of the tires i have a 245/40 dirreza z1 at home and its larger than my 255 potenza re050... but most likely youll need to roll your rear fenders imo !
I am lowered and do not rub at all on 255's with 9.5 rims but I think the offset is in the 60's I think it is somewhere around +54 for fronts and +64 rears. But I do not rub at all.

Okay thanks for everyones help and opinions there is an 18" option but I wanted the 17's The 18's come in 18x7.5+48 front and the rear is 18x9+50 rear. The rims I was looking at are the new Volk VR-G2. I do want to lower 1"-1.5 eventually so I don't think either option would work for me. I wish there was other offsets offered with these! What would be the minimum offset for the rears without rolling,relocation camber and lowered without rubbing in you guy's opinion? Still going to be looking.

Sorry I can't contribute too much to the topic, I'm not familiar with stock offset and no camber. Though, even 18x9+50 with a 255 tire in the rear will guarantee rub. I ran 18x9+50 with a 245 tire, with some camber and I rubbed (Was lowered about 1.5"). You'll need rolling + camber to fit 17x9+40 and a 255 tire for sure. So, with that in mind, to run a 17x9 wheel with a 255 tire, dropped ~1.5" with no camber and no rolling, I'm guesstimating you'll need at least +62 to +65 offset. Just a guess. It's probably much higher Lol
