WTB: Snow tires w/ rims

I highly doubt they are $100 a piece, maybe for ap1 wheel sizes he's looking for Ap2 sizes. You can pick up ap1 wheels and buy some cheapass snows but it's still gonna equal the same as buying a good set and slapping it on your ap2 wheels. Check tire rack they won't have any for s2000's Ap2, you'll have to start playing around with the M3 tires sizes they carry. You can try having them shipped over to blaine or point roberts for pick up, but either way the exchange rate/duties is still gonna hurt. Hate to say this but now is the worse time to buy them, and if you can buy a set of used ones you are one lucky sob. Think of it this way, spend the money now for a good set of snow tires and they will last you for a few more seasons to come, assuming that you will only have them on for 5 months a season.
Iono about you guys but im just taxi/bussing
...and occasional drifting
Well, since my name was mentioned, I assume you got the v-rated tires. At the tirerack, they are $146 per tire for the 225/45/17 size. 4 of those plus tax and duty and $60 for shipping to Pt. Roberts and a 1.25 exchange rate puts the tires landed in Vancouver for under $950. That is almost $250 (20%) in savings from the set you bought.
Keep in mind, if you run your stockie wheels with the snow tires, a) the salt on the roads will hurt the finish of wheels and b) you will need to pay someone in the spring to unmount and remount your summer tires, and the same thing again in the following winter when you go to mount the snow tires.
Using the same tire, 215/55/16 H-rated, is only $98 usd per tire. That would land the tires into Vancouver for just over $650 cdn tax-in. Add $400 (which is high) for a set of stock AP1 wheels, and now you have wheels you can curb/oxidize/salt burn without worries. And you don't have to mount and unmount the tires at the end/begining of the season.
And the best part, when it is about to snow, all you have to do is put the wheels on the car and not have to head to a tireshop to get the tires mounted, where you run the risk of scratching your 17 inch wheels.

$950 is a wicked deal, but I would have to get the tires mounted and balanced $80-100. Not to mention the drive to blaine or pt. roberts. car rental/gas/car rental insurance (all i have is my S2k) $75/day, in total $1125.
Yes, you do save money, but there are other hidden costs to worry about. Bottom line is s2000 is not a car for winter. Like you said before in a different post "everyone be safe out there". I can live with losing out $75 to go and drive around in this weather. Thanks for the heads up
I will turn to you for help next time, when I make any future tire purchases next time.
