I'm looking for a 2006 to 2009 base. Preferably in dark grey and preferably with a red/black interior. I'd like one that is stock or nearly so, or one that could be returned to stock condition with reasonable effort and cost. No salvage title, nothing lowered, no forced induction; and if you're the fourth owner, your car is probably not for me. I live in Minnesota so the vehicle will only see a few thousand miles of use each summer and live through the winter in my heated garage. I'm looking for the right car not a car right now, and I'm willing to pay for it if/when it presents itself. uncleclinty at yahoo

Take a look at the color chart.
You won't find a single grey or dark grey car on it at all and the only red/black interiors are the 1100 '06/'07 Silverstone Metallic cars which is the closest you'll get. Chicane Silver is a bit darker but only in black or red interior and very few of them imported in 2008/09. The "red" interior in the Chicane cars may be red/black but that's a guess as all red interiors are rarely pictured here. (Someone will know.) My car is Silverstone but I think Chicane is nicer in many respects.
There are good cars still around around and several appear here. I recall there are a couple of '06 cars for sale here right now in VA and OH. Uhaul trailer behind your SUV or pickup will get one home. Closed trailer transport to move my '06 from Cleveland to Richmond last summer cost me $500 and should be considered.
My personal preference was (and is) a box-stock car. Other than aftermarket wheels which I replaced with with correct OEM within a month. I changed intake and exhaust and had the car Gernby FlashPro tuned on 93 Octane. You've been reading the forum so you know the desirability of all 10 VIN tags, etc. Note the '06 and later cars are infamous for tight valves so getting a car with under 50K miles is recommended unless a valve adjustment can be documented.

Thanks Chuck. While I do realize this is a bit of an ask, I am looking for one of the only 172 units sold in 2008-2009 in Chicane Silver w/Red, or one of the 1174 units from 2006-2007 in Silverstone Metallic with Red/Back. So with a total of only 1346 units ever sold, maybe finding one with low miles and little or no modification isn't likely. Might even be unobtainium. Nevertheless, I figured an enthusiast's site would be a the best place to look for a very specific car.
I've been logging on to this site to check on the cars for sale (occasionally), but I haven't seen what I'm looking for so far nor have I figured out any way to sort for a specific vehicle (or even sort out the sold ones). I've looked back as far as the November posts, but I sure would expect a car on the market that long has some kind of issue keeping it there. So I figured I'd just ask for what I really want and see in anyone wants to pass along their baby to someone who would love it as much as they do. Thanks again, and if you do see something out there I sure would appreciate a heads up. Even if it's crazy spendy.

I've only seen one (1) Chicane Silver car. Car is/was located in eastern Ohio or western PA (I don't recall the tag). I thought it was a respray of Moonrock which was never imported to the USA. Do not recall the interior. Noted it had proper OEM "AP2V3" wheels.. I probably have at least a partial photo of it somewhere as it was part of an Ohio back road drive 15 months ago and I may have seen it at the Gettysburg get together a couple of months later. Handsome car. Doubt it's for sale, just pointing out the rarity.
Maybe an owner of a 2006 Silverstone red/black interior can post a photo? Someone had some seats and door cards in red or red/black recently as I recall but the won't be "original" to your car. I'm not a fan of two-tone interiors myself and the all red or all blue interiors hurt my eyes. Which is probably why my cars all tend to have black interiors.
I'm more than happy with my Pedestrian Silver (AKA Silverstone) with the Boring Black (tm) interior. But even those are scant in 2006 and later models.

I have a 2006 (completely stock) JHMAP21416S002283 that I am selling due to health issues. I'm 70+ and it's time to let someone else enjoy it.
Silverstone Metallic with Red/Back. 2nd owner and always adult driven. 34,200 miles and not likely to change greatly. Let me know if you want to have more info.
