17x7 +38 offset?
Would the rims 17x7 with a +38 Offset fit on the S2000's with no modifications or would 18x8.5 with a +35 offset fit better? the wheels im looking at are the XXR-521, and if either one fit with no modification what tire sizes do you guys recommend, thanks guy for the knowledge.

you looking to run a square setup? you on stock suspension? 17x7 +38 will fit with no mods but tire sizes will be limited to something between a 205 and a 225. neither of which are ideal for a square setup(unless you want to run AP1 specs with 205 in front and 225 in the rear but it will look a little off with non-staggered wheels). 18x8.5 +35 will allow you to run 235s or 245s which is much better for a square setup but you will definitely need at least a good fender roll to avoid rubbing.

i really like the xxr-521 rims and a square setup would be ok on the S2000 since XXR-521 other sizes are 18x10 that are +25 offset and 17x7 is the only size 17's come in, and im dropped on Teins S-tech. Thanks again for the reply.

it's unfortunate that xxr doesn't make more offsets for their 17s bc they could've been such a bargain, but making the 18s fit with their width and offset is just a nuisance
|
they could have been great sellers in our community with better offsets.

They are fine for the front but I wouldn't do it on the rear. To narrow. OEM Ap2 wheels are 8.5 in the rear.

is it ideal to run 17x7 fronts and 18x8.5 rears, has anyone done that before?
|
yeah, it's doable and i'm sure it's been done. just need to run tire sizes that have the same overall diameter. so, something like 215/45/17 front and 235/35/18 rear. still would need a fender roll in the rear most likely.

im running the xxr 521 the 18x10 +25 in the rear and running 245/40/18 on them. im going to run overfenders and get something along the lines of 275 haha the 17x7 is way to small imo and the 18's fit nice with 35 series tires
