Well according to this a 18x10.5 +20 weighs in at 23 lbs. I would guess these are around 20lbs due to the smaller size. in other words about the same as AP2 OEM rears maybe a little less.

In your defense, his request makes absolutely no sense. Any "stock" racing class that limits you to 8.5" width +/- 5 mm offset will usually limit your diameter to stock, in this case 17".

Care to elaborate on why you need 18's?

Gentleman, thanks for the help and interest in this topic.

Manga spawn: thanks for the help in looking for the wheels.

S2000 junky: no no I haven't abandoned the thread. I'm usually always on R&C, I seldom come here. Plus I'm out of the country right now as well.

I like everyone's thought process here. It was actually fun to read. You guys had good questions, but werent looking at it from the correct angle. Has anyone ever noticed that all the fast street tires (used for racing) all cap out at 255mm for 17" wheels?

What is the correct angle. You aren't going to be able to run anything wider than a 255/35/18 on an 8.5 wheel either. Would rather have 17 in tires at half the price...

That is the main reason I went with 18's, although it wasn't for a racing application.

You still aren't making sense and haven't explained what you are trying to accomplish. If you want to run a 265+ width tire then you will need a wheel a lot wider than 8.5". Your best option is probably to call up CCW, they can make exactly what you want down to mm. The only problem is that YOU need to know what you actually want.

Urge has done the math for you if you want to run something like a 255/285 setup on 9.5"/10.5" wheels:

I gotta work with my ruleset guys. There is a concrete rule on wheel width, but no cap on tire size. This is for national level competition, where I once lost being national champion by .012 seconds... every little bit helps.
