2005 S2000 Replacement tires.
I have had the stock tires for 18k miles and it's almost gone. Damn, that was quick and I was told that it costs $300 each.
Is there a cheaper alternative than the stock tires? Where can I get it and how much does it usually cost? Thanks |
You may want to try this in the Wheel and Tire forum.

Depends what kinda performance you're looking for. I've found the Yoko AVS ES100 to be cheap and serve well for just driving around town with some spirited driving. Less than 100 a pop at tirerack.com.

i think u can get a set of our OEM tires @ tirerack.com for 700 dollars.

It's almost Bridgestone rebate time (Spring). So, if you can hold off a little while longer, you can save some more money on OEM's.

'Godda "meetoo" what Oakfloor n' Enthralled posted.
But c'mon Cmon, this is a car set up to handle. You can't expect the mileage out'a the tires to match that of the family Camry r' Wagoneer. 18 thou's a very respectable showin' for max-traction hoops. Be well. Java |
Yea, I learned the hardway. DO NOT buy cheap tires. For a car like this, it is worth it to pay the price. I went with some cheap tires when my rears went out (had a nail and drove on a flat) and I was low on money. I bought some cheap tires I used to get when I had an Integra. Big mistake, they were good for the Integra but for the s2000 they are horrible with traction and handling. Now that I know this was a stupid move I need to replace the fronts and I'm just going to buy 4 new sets.
Does everyone here use TireRack? Looking for some good deals, anyone use the BFGoodrich g-Force? |
