255/40/17 and 205/50/17 winter tires
Found a good deal on some but the front size is not ideal, but just wondering if it can work? I know with the 225/45/17 rear winter tire its the recommended size for the front just not sure about running the normal sized rear
This guy will sell them seperate so i imagine just buy the fronts and wait for another set of rears???? I never drive in deep snow and have actually made it 4 winters on summer tires, not easy, but nonetheless. Just wanna be prepared this year .
narrower is better is very misleading..... narrower is ONLY better in deep snow, in every other condition wider (stock size) would be better. I would never go narrower for New England winters. I will be running 225s and 245s in a week or two. so unless you wanna save money or drive usually in deep snow, go with stock size or larger 225/255 is common
