Default Another Noob Sizing Thread

Im currently about to purchase some new rims and im looking at Rota Boosts. Im pretty new to all of this rim and offset stuff. I read the wheel fitment guide but it confused me even more. I drive my car daily and occasionally track my car as well.

I've decided on 17's for sure and i will be lowered on espelirs if anyone could chime in on an ideal wheel width and offset it would help alot.

Also another noob question what is bore? Is it the same thing as offset?

You are limited in available sizes with that wheel. I would run 8" +48 all around and stagger the tire sizes, 215/45 and 245/40. Bore is the diameter of the opening in the center of the wheel that goes onto the hub. It needs to be at least 70mm to fit on the front hub.

I would agrre with the 215/45R17 and 245/40R17. I don't carry the wheels so I do not know what offsets are available on the wheels.
If I can help with the tires let me know.

would it be better if i found different wheels to run staggered instead. These rotas only come in 7.5 and 8

preston.. try to get at least a one inch stagger.. the espelirs will give it plenty drop with no rub.. also since you track.. id try the 225/255 combo.. wider = better
