Default another wheel fitment

I am looking to upgrade my wheel. I have got rota torques at the moment as they were the best ksports 330mm brake clearence i could get at that moment

i want to know if i was to run 17" wheels 9 inch wide up front can i get away with an offset off + 42 and rear i want to run 9.5j and i will need an offset of +30?

i am only asking cause i am looking for a set of wheel for my s2k and i got myself js racing type s bodykit i dont want to go 18s i want to stay 17s no paticullar reason except i hate the look of 18s. Getting a 17" of 9 inch wide wheel in 42+ offset is not a problem but rear in +30 9.5j specially for the wheel i plan to buy.

also the tyres is it better to run 245 40 17 up front on a 9 inch wide wheel and 255 40 17 rears on a 9.5 inch wide wheel?

I do track day once a month so would like an opionion on a performance view not looks.

thanks

Are you lowered? You will need a roll and at least 2 degrees of camber in the front and 2.5-3 degrees in the rear. Your tire sizes are fine. If you can get a higher offset in the rear you will be better off though as you will likely have to pull the fender quite a bit to get them to clear.

You should be fine then, run any alignment you want. Honestly you could go with wider wheels and tires. You are limited in 17's though unless you wanted to get into 295+

i am just worried about the offset for 17s. tyre wise if i go 17 i wanna keep it to 245 and 255.

if offset is the problem i can go rear 18x9.5 et 25 front 18x9 et 35
or use wider tires like 255 front and 275 rear?

or i have been looking at non stagger setup either 17 9j et 35 with 255 40 17 all round or 17 9.5j et 30 all round with 255 40 17 front and 265 40 17 at the back?

i know 17 9j et35 with 255s will work but dont have a clue about the other
