Default AP1 stock wheels - best full 4 tire setup?

Ok, I've searched this forum far and wide and I either stink at searching or AP1's don't get much love. I'm trying to get some AP2V3's, but I don't see that happening, so my question is this: What do you use, as all I can find on TR are Fuzion ZR1's. They're rated ok, but I haven't heard anyone on here really rave about them like the newer Contis and Hancooks...

Should mention I'm looking for summer tires, with more of a touring than track feel and sound with good tread life.

If I was trying to get a solid summer tire that was quiet with good tread life for my AP1 I'd probably pick up the Conti DWs.

Another stickie victim? Don't bother looking for 245/45-16 in street tires. The best tires are going to be in stock AP1 sizes, 205/55-16 F, 225/50-16 R.

There are a few great tires available. I think the Conti DW's look like the best option for what you want.

The Conti DW and the Bridgestone RE760 Sport in a summer tire are the two best options. If you go to an all season the Yokohama Avid Envigor is very good. If I can help with the tires let me know.

I've got the re760's on my ap2v1's and really love them!!

I honestly didn't know they had them in a 225/50/16....To save cost on tires(and weight as well ) I may switch back to ap1 wheels and get the re760's

The Star Specs are not mushy at all. If you are looking for a tire you can auto cross the Star Spec and the Bridgestone RE-11 would be my favorites. The Bridgestone does have a 100.00 mail in rebate through 04/30.
If I can help just let me know.

I been leaning towards rs3 on stock ap1, but will also look into re-11's now. Got another autox and trackday coming up in two weeks and four weeks.

I've enjoyed my RE760s for the last 31k miles and just bought another set for less $$ than the first thanks to the recent promotion.
