Default AP1 wheels on a '09 Civic

My son likes the AP1 wheels(good thing my '06 has AP2 wheels) and asked me if they would fit his '09 Civic without to much modification to his car?
I didn't know so I thought I'd ask here.

Thank's,
ROD

Your wheels are the same lug pattern as AP1 so if your wheels fit AP1 wheels will. 5x114.3 is the S pattern. I'll leave the googling of civic lug patterns to you.

They will physically bolt to the vehicle without any modification, however the S2000 Fitment has strange offsets of +55 (f) and +65 (r) stock which are designed for a wheel hub that is closer to the fenderline. Long story short, I would certainly try and test fit prior to making a purchase. Additionally the S2000 features wider tires both front and rear than stock Civics. If you were to go through with the modification, you will need to find 4 front AP1 wheels.

Short answer: I would shop around with your son looking for more appropriate wheels that are similar in design.

You can also run a reverse stagger with the AP1 wheels since the Civic is FWD. The JDM guys do it all the time. Check out the stagger on this Spoon FD2...

Thank's for the info, I think I'll keep my wheels on my car for now.
My son likes the AP1 wheels so I'm going to help him look for a set that looks like the AP1 wheel he likes(that will fit correctly with the right off set). It might cost more but I like to put the right wheels on any car I own and I hope he will to.

Just grab all front ap1 and a 10mm spacer for the perfect fit.

I run all rears on my ap1 for tire rotation I traded fronts to a civic owner who wanted an all front setup two days after making a Craig's list post
