About a year ago, I had an idea for my extra set of AP2 wheels. Paint them black and leave all the machined surfaces unpainted. For about $20 and two hours per wheel taping them off and painting them, I tried out this idea. For the quick/cheap job, they turned out great! However, I knew at some point I wanted to get them professionally done. Well, I did. Here are the results. The place that did the work is Wheel Medic, Inc. in Columbus, Ohio.

I am very happy with the results and feel like I got a new set of wheels.

5 Days. I dropped the wheels off on Friday afternoon and picked them up on a Wednesday.

Thanks for the compliments!

Looks fantastic!

So what is the process? Do they mask the areas then coat the rest? Or PC the whole wheel and sand/polish the surface? Is that what you mean by "machined"?

Nice finish, and good idea! I am always trying to think of a way to change the stockies to look different... that way I feel like I have new wheels, but without the output of a huge chunk of change!
