Default Best wheel size 4 preformance?

Preformance wise, which wheel size would be best for Track use. I was thinking 19" would be able to fit larger size tires, but would alsoe weigh more. So what is the best size? 16" stock, 17" 18" or 19" wheels.

Thanks,

16s work well but i prefer ultralightweight 17s. don't go bigger if you are interested in performance. 17s come in great sizes for our car. i run 17x7.5 front with 225's and 17x9 rear with 255 width tires and its plenty of rubber on the road. also fills up the wheel well arch nicer than the 16's.

Umm, the diameter is the same (if you plus size properly)...

Lightweigth 17's are ideal for a track..16's would be too small,unless you're drag racing,which hopefully you're not.

correction.. it fills them with more METAL.. bigger tires don't count in this respect. the new obsession seems to be low profile tires with larger diameter rims behind them.

of course style is a matter of personal taste.

Alot of the hardcore track junkies in the Racing and Competition forum use 18" CCW wheels. There are more tire options for 18's. You should probably post your question there to get a better response.
