Default Car feels dramatically different, normal?

I just got my set of Bridgestone Potenza tires (thanks Jim / Tirerack!) and got them mounted at the local Goodyear. They also had to set the alignment. They told me the rear was out 1 degree and the front was a bit out. So with the tires replaced and the alignment set the car feels dramatically different, but i can't say for sure positively. it is straight as an arrow but seems a bit more "floaty" if that makes any sense. Is this common? I am thinking it just feels much different because the bald tires and alignment were so off and after a day or two it will feel completely normal. Just checking because i have never really felt a difference with new tires on a car before. thoughts?

I would say that is normal. A bad alignment vs a good straight alignment would be very noticeable.

fronts were the original OEM tires (yup from 2005) and the back was a set of Sutsumo. I just recently bought the car so i am kinda getting everything the way it should be. The tires were one of the top priorities, those front ones were sketchy at best being so old.

Which poteza's did you get? It probably feels different because you went from one tire category to another like from Ultra performance summer to max performance summer so the feel is different. Also the new tires will feel different due to the tread on them and getting broken in.

Yeah, reading your description I'd say it would be a stark contrast to what you came from

Before and after alignment specs? Which Pole Position tires? Full complete tire designation. There are Max Perf Summer "Pole Position" tires, and there are also All-Season "Pole Positions", and multiple different versions of either...

I'd like to see your specs as well.. I just tossed on a set of Potenza S-04's and had an alignment check..
Left front (Camber:-0.6, Caster:5.1, Toe:-0.15)
Right front (Camber:0.1, Caster:5.1, Toe:0.06)

Clearly a little bit off.

Had an alignment done last week haha and these are the readings I'm getting this week.
Quality workmanship from Progressive insurance's local auto body tech.

Will post my true aligned specs hopefully within the next few hours.
