CE 28 fitment issue
I'm currently looking at a couple sets of CE28N's. I was told that both sets fit without any modification to the fenders. I know one is 100% plug and play, but I wanted to get your input on the other set.
Set 1: 17x7.5 +50, 17x9.0 +63 Set 2: 17x7.5 +48, 17x8.5 +50 Both are running 255/40 in the rear. I would like to purchase a set that would sit as flush as possible without modification, but if Set 2 would require any fender mods, I'd probably go with the first set. Please help me out. I need to figure out which set to buy in a day or two. Thanks for any help! |

So the second set wouldn't require any modifications to my fenders?
Does the 0.5 inch on the rear wheel make much of a difference? |

Both sets will fit without fender mods. As long as u run a 245/40 tire in the rear with a 8.5 +50offset.

the 9 +63 would sit 8 mm closer to the fender and the 8.5 +50 would sit 15mm closer to the fender.

wouldn't the +50 sit closer to the fender than the +63?

the 1st set is 7mm less from the fender and has a little more stretch.
you could still get away with running the second set without modifications depending on which brand tire is the 255, how stiff the suspension is set, and how low you are. worst case if you already havent, you can peel off the extra plastic lip for a little additional clearance in the rear |
