Default The correct size and offset of 18'

Howdy all!

I dont know if the question has been asked before or not, but I need tire & wheel experts here to help me out.

I'm looking at one of the O.Z. in 18x8 in the front, and 18x9 in the back. What would the correct tires size be? Are the 225/40/18 front & 255/35/18 back the right offset? Will it rub if I drop an inch?

Any sugestions welcome, I don't know much about this.
Thanks all.

My friend had this done with no rubbing.

I have same wheels on OEM suspension (Offset F51+ R 65+). On hard cornering with bump the tires will rub

How come your friend has the same setup done with no problem, and yours are rub?

I've heard the right 18' offset should be +55F and +65R, is that right?
If so, this setup is fine at the back which is +65, but the front is +51, what should I do to maintain the right offset? I don't want the handling carector of the car to change at all( if not improved), I just need a better sport look.

My friend had the car lowered around 1" (He's unsure of the brand). He runs more negative camber than before.

I have the same wheels with OEM suspension. I'll check on the offset for you afterwork.

Thanks a lot. Hey, how about if I don't drop it or drop it just half an inch, will it still rub?

They only rub on very sharp corner with large bump.
Otherwise as good as gold

Hey, it looks like only you and me on this thread We should have go to a chat room

My answer was
if you drop with proper suspension, spring and alignment then NO
if you use OEM, you might rub on very hard corner

Good luck
