Double check on wheel
 

Hey guys, So I have been reading the sticky and referencing rims with it.

First off, I can't find too many websites that sell wheels. I have been using tire rack, not sure if there is anything much better that I just can't seem to find?


Either way I found this rim that I am considering for my car:

Based on the research from the sticky I think it should fit?

It's a 17x7.5 with 45mm offset

so according to this:

Front:

+43 to +47 offset: 205 tires, 6.5" - 7.5" wide wheel

Rear:

+45 to +49 offset: 245 tires, 7.5" - 9.0" wide wheel


Will this work for me?


Also if you guys have any recommendations for websites to look at I would appreciate it. Here is basic info:

Use: Normal daily riding
Fender rolling: I don't know how to, not sure if anyone locally does it. So I would prefer not to have to.
Rim size: I am looking at 17" to avoid fender rolling, but if I can get an 18" and not have to roll that would be sweet.
Price range: Looking to spend around 1k for the set.

You link just takes me to the main tire rack site. Copy and paste the wheel and so a in the post. If you are thinkng of running 7.5 all around keep looking. That is to narrow for the rear.

As for wheel websites there is thousands. Go in the vendor area and talk to ravspec evasive gotuning etc. all have a good range of wheels. You can also look at eBay and vrwheels for used wheels.

As for not wanting to roll your fenders you will be extremely limited in your choices. You basically need to be close to oem and you cannot lower it or you will still need a roll.

After posting I did more searching/research and ended up picking up some Enkei RPF1 wheels. They are not the best in the world, but definitely an improvement over my stock ones.

If I can help with the wheels let me know. The RPF1 is very popular on the S2K and they are light weight with pretty good offsets.

Why is 7.5 non staggered to narrow? Since that is what my rears are OEM.

He already explained this to you. 7.5" was what the car came with 15 years ago. Even the update to 8.5" is now 10 years old. You don't think there has been any progress since then? If you are happy running the same specs as a 15 year old design (that even Honda upgraded) then go for it.
