Equal Sizing
The local tire dealer -- the good one -- suggests I move from 16 to 17 inch wheels, but to put the same size wheel and tire on front and rear. That way, I can rotate, he says, and not always be driving on rear tires that are much more wore down than front. What is your advice? Is he off track? If you think this is a good move, what size 17 inch wheel would you use?
He's smoking crack!
I wouldn't be shopping at that "local" tire dealer anymore......
Stay staggered and if you move up to 17's then the OEM tire size for 17's is:
215/45/17 front
245/40/17 rear
Same size tires front and rear will induce oversteer

OK, thanks for that advice. What about moving to 18 inch. Is there any downside to going that big on the s2k? If not, what sizes would you recommend? Any specific recommendations in tires and wheels. I'd like to keep to the low-to-medium end.
As to tires, the Potenza RE-750 seems like a very good tire at reasonable prices. Also, I am looking for a simple wheel that would be easy to clean. I live on a farm on a dirt road and I am forever cleaning wheels. I was thinking of something with 4 - 7 spokes.
