Default Experience with ASA AR1 Wheels

Does anyone have any experience with the ASA AR1 wheels? They are copies of BBS wheels (made with BBS technology) and they sure look good. The rear wheel width is slightly smaller than stock for a 2004 S2K. The offsets are shallower as well. Any feedback on how they fit would be welcome. I am thinking of buying a set.

there are some members on here that run them without any problems. what are the exact sizes and offsets, more than likely you should be fine running OEM AP2 tire sizes.

The front wheels (W101121) are 17x7 with a +48mm offset and the rear wheels (W101315) are 17x8 with a +45mm offset. Both offsets are quite a bit shallower than that for the stock 17 inch wheels. This should put the outter wheel and tire edges out further than stock.

The tire sizes should be the AP2 sizes. With the offset being lower than the AP2 stock they are going to still fill the wheel well fine. The quality on the wheels is very good and they are built with the BBS technology.
If I can help let me know.

I just a sold mine a few weeks ago. Nothing wrong with the wheels. I would say the offset on the rear is a little low. If I hit a hard bump it would rub a little with 245/40/17 tires. I'm lowered a little more then an inch. Perhaps a more negative camber alignment would fix that? I haven't got around to getting a new alignment yet.

Here's the thread on the sale as well as some photos.

Negative camber would have solved the problem.

Thanks to all for the feedback. I ordered a set from Tirerack and should have them installed next week.

These are the same wheels I'm looking at getting down the road. Post pics when you get them on!
Also, are these a good candidate for powdercoating? I'm worried about the rivets in the wheel...

Jim,

How much negative camber to you think would fix this?
