Falken Azenis RT615k's

So i love my RT615's but i guess falken did some kind of upgrades to them and now they are RT615K's. I want to know if anyone here has tried these out and how they compare to the old RT615's. I have always used this tire and love how it handles and grips. Now that its been upgraded it went up in price to about $200 a tire (discount tire quote) for some 255/40/17's. So what do you all think? are they worth it or is there a similarly price tire that better performs. looking to buy within the next week or so. thanks in advance

there are better tires out there for the money such as kumho xs, hankook rs3 and the most popular star specs

wow falkens are getting really really expensive...

Depending on what your doing with the car, agree all 3 tires listed about are better then the K's and cheaper as well.

Thanks for everyones input, I will look into the above mentioned tires. I don't track the car but I'm a very spirited driver at times :) I think my rear falkens only lasted me about 8k miles or so. I always forget to keep track.

:iagree:

Finished off a set of Kumho XS this year and started to break-in my RS3's. Both are fantastic tires and cheaper than the Falken's. Falken used to be the amazing bang for your buck tire. They slacked off and everyone else is now destroying them in performance and price.

Hey pat, what do u think of the star specs. They seem very similar to the falkens and cheaper. I'm thinking of going with those. Anyone running star specs? How do you like em?

Everyone is running star specs :) They are all around one of the best tires out there. They do well at everything - daily, dry, wet, autox, track, (not snow obviously)...but probably aren't the best in any (although they run very close to it). I chose to run the Kumho XS and the Hankook RS3's because they were a bit cheaper and generally (and arguably) better performing in dry track/autox conditions.

I see, out of the kumhos and the hankooks, which did u like best?
